The National U-23 side, the Black Meteors of Ghana will face a tough Africa Cup of Nations campaign after being drawn up against host nation, Egypt.
The team is seeking to end its 15-year absence from the Olympic Games at the third edition of the African under 23 Cup of Nations with an opening fixture against Cameroon.
Wednesday’s draw held in Cairo saw Ibrahim Tanko’s side face two of West African power houses, Cameroon and Mali.
Ghana will be based in the capital, Cairo and will have their games played at the Cairo International Stadium.
Speaking exclusively on Angel FM, after the draw, Coach Ibrahim Tanko was optimistic that his side will qualify from the group.
He said the team will continue with preparation and will have to start well against Cameroon in the opening fixture.
The tournament will kick off on 8th November, with the finals scheduled to be played on 22nd November.
Group B will also give us some mouthwatering matches involving Nigeria, Ivory Coast, South Africa and Zambia.
