The assistant manager of the National U 23 Team, Black Meteors, Micheal Osei has assured Ghanaians that his side will qualify from their group in this year’s Africa Under 23 championship.
The Meteors are drawn in Group B with host Egypt, Cameroon and Mali in the tournament that will see the winners qualify for Olympic games.
“It’s a tough group and we have respect for each team but we are not afraid of them,” the former Kotoko gaffer said in an interview.
He added that his side has the quality and will do everything possible to secure a place in next year’s Olympics Games in Tokyo.
Ghana last made an appearance at the Olympic football games in 2004 and will be looking forward to end the 15 year drought.
