NPP primaries: Hopeson Adorye wins Kpone Katamanso seat


Vociferous communicator of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hopeson Yaovi Adorye emerged the winner of the party’s primaries held at Kpone-Katamanso in the Greater Accra Region.

Kpone-Katamanso is one of the orphan constituencies where the elections were carried out on Saturday, 28th September, 2019.

The Deputy National Security Coordinator in charge of Airports polled 321 votes to beat competitors, William Asante – 203 votes and Prince Dadzie – 56 and David Annang – 46.

Mr Adorye will be hoping to grab the seat from the NDC MP, Joseph Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo who is a force to reckon with in the constituency.

Afotey Agbo was the Greater Accra Regional Minister under the erstwhile Mahama administration.
