The families of the four kidnapped girls in Takoradi have been asked to go to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for the skeletons used for the DNA test that confirmed they have been murdered.
Spokesperson for the families, Michael Hayford Grant alleged on Adom TV’s Morning Show on Thursday as monitored by Angelfmonlinegh.com that they were given this order by the Police after they had requested that they should be presented with skeletons so they can conduct independent DNA test to confirm government’s claim.
According to the spokesperson, they made the request after the Police insisted that the families can come for the skeletons and conduct their independent test if they doubt the police.
“The Police told us that they are willing to give us the skeletons so we conduct our independent DNA to confirm their claims that the skeletons they found in the septic tank are indeed that of the children but when we went there, we were told to go to the IGP for our bones…,” he claimed.
The families yesterday led a mammoth demonstration in the Western Regional capital, Takoradi to demand the resignation of certain top police officers.
These officers, the families said include the CIB Boss, Maame Yaa Tiwaah Addo-Danquah and Minister of State at the Presidency in charge of National Security, Bryan Acheampong.
They claimed at the demonstration that these persons gave them false hope and made them to believe that the missing girls were still alive.
Mr Hayford further warned that if the CID Boss fails to resign, they will be forced to summon her before the people of Ghana.
