Kanye West Tops Forbes 2019 Highest-Paid Hip-hop Artists

Kanye West reigns supreme in the rap world according to Forbes as he was named the highest-paid Hip Hop act for the year 2019. Kanye West edges Beyonce’s husband JAY-Z and Drake, who placed second and third respectively.

Most of the West’s income comes from his shoe company, Yeezy, which is expected to exceed over $1.5 billion by the end of 2019. The company helped raise pretax profit to $150 million over the past year, which gave him the number one spot on the list for the first time in his career.

Elsewhere on the list Diddy comes in at No. 4 with $70 million, Nicki Minaj appears at No. 12 with $29 million and Cardi B shows up at the 13th position with $28 million.
