Barcelona sensation, Anssumane Fati is on the verge of breaking a record held by former Black Stars and Olympiacos striker, Peter Ofori Quaye.
The Ghanaian scored his first Uefa Champions League goal for Olympiacos against Rosenborg BK in the 1997-98 season when he was 17 years and 195 days old.
However, the Bissau-Guineanian prodigy is set to break that record at the age of 16 years and 351 days old should he score in his Champions League debut against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday Night.
Fati, a Barcelona academy product has been a revelation in the wake of multiple injury woes at Barcelona, scoring two sensational goals in the three games he has played for the Blaugranas and he is considered as the heir to the throne of Lionel Messi.
Others have argued that , the Barcelona board stick with the youngster rather than breaking bank to sign PSG star Neymar Jnr.
Fati has however decided he wants to play for Spain, despite having Guinea-Bissau parents.
